The Trebilcock and O’Neill families are the new custodians of Red Hill Cheese.
The Red Hill Cheese brand began around twenty years ago by two local legends of Red Hill, Trevor and Jan Brandon. They became known for creating delicious artisan cheeses that were readily available in Europe but harder to find here in Australia.
The Brandons have recently retired and we now are lucky to call this beautiful part of the world our own. Together with the O’Neill family we hope to breathe new life into the business by reinstating the cheese making equipment into the cheesery; our qualified chef Belinda O’Neill will be making cheese under the mentorship of Trevor Brandon. Trevor’s son Burke and his wife Bron at Prom Country Cheese have also played a pivotal role in providing us with cheese during this transition phase.
We are curious about the traditions of making cheese as well as growing fruit, flowers and vegetables. Our goal is to create a community of people who share knowledge around growing, cooking and eating good food.
We are excited and proud to be able to share our cheeses and the beautiful forest of Red Hill Cheese with you.
